The Himachal Pradesh State Information Commission was constituted by the
State Government on 4th February, 2006 in exercise of powers conferred by sub section (1) of
section 15 of the Right to Information Act, 2005. The Commission started functioning with effect
from 1st March, 2006 with headquarters at Shimla.
